The Minox B, a high-quality subminiature camera, was invented by Walter Zapp and produced by Minox GmbH from 1958 until 1972. Known for its compact design and exceptional image quality, it gained popularity as a spy camera. The Minox B is similar to the Minox III but features a selenium cell coupled light meter. It produces a tiny 8x11mm negative on typically a 36 exposure cartridge.
The camera's construction with an aluminum housing makes it incredibly light and small. It is entirely mechanical, eliminating the need for batteries. The camera's adjustable shutter speeds range from 1/2 second to 1/1000, with a fixed f/3.5 aperture. Focus is manually set, making it ideal for close-up photography, however, it performs well at all distances, including infinity.
Although Minox no longer produces film for this camera, Blue Moon Camera does!
